Ross Anthony Denten

Ross Denten, a resident of Yoncalla, Oregon for the past 28 years, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was 55 years old.

Ross was born in Santa Rosa, California, and graduated from Gilroy High School. In his early years, he developed a passion for racing and competed at Cottage Grove Speedway, where he earned numerous trophies.

Throughout his career as an auto body and paint technician, Ross worked for many automotive businesses in Cottage Grove, Eugene, Drain, and Yoncalla. His skill and attention to detail were widely admired. Most recently, a van he painted won first place at the Coos Bay Car Show, a testament to his talent and pride in his craft. Beyond his professional work, Ross was a gifted artist in his own right.

Ross is survived by his five children: Laurie and Ross, who reside in Alaska, and Elizabeth, Dent, and Wyatt, who reside in Oregon. He is also survived by his brother, Travis Denten, and his sister, Edie Fischer, both of California, as well as his loving parents, Ed and Emmy Denten of Oregon.

A private family service will be held.
