Mark Kirby Woodrow closed his eyes and went to his eternal home on May 13, 2026, due to complications of Parkinson's disease. He was born on March 4, 1954 in Oakland, California, to Doyle K. Woodrow and Mary Woodrow (nee Barnett). He was the oldest of four siblings: Ellen, Daniel, and Jason Woodrow. He attended Mount Diablo High School in Concord, California until 10th grade, then moved to Corvallis, Oregon and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1972. In 1975 he joined the US Navy where he served for five years as an electricians mate. He married Jo Ellen Yaconetti of Lake Oswego, Oregon in 1981 and subsequently had four children: Jessie Ellen Woodrow Robinson (Thomas), Brendan Doyle Woodrow, Daniel Jason Woodrow (Melody)and Patrick Caleb Woodrow (Rebecca). After Mark and Jo Ellen divorced in 1996, Mark married Deanna Griner Bean in Spokane, Washington and he gained two stepsons, Nicholas Ray Bean (Megan) and Kellen Lee Bean.
Family meant so much to him. He proudly boasted about his 14 grandchildren that he loved so much.
Mark's career as a journeyman hydroelectric dam operator took him to several places, working for several companies in Washington, Arizona, and Oregon. He retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers, Foster, Oregon at the end of 2020.
Mark loved music, playing in various bands and worship teams throughout his life. Most importantly, Mark loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Mary, his brother Daniel Woodrow, and his beloved stepson Kellen Bean.
Lastly, we'd like to thank the tireless efforts of Mark's care team at Roseburg VA, Amedysis Hospice, and the wonderful By Your Side caregivers. Their kindness and care has been such a blessing.
