Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 95. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Maxine was born in LaGrande, Oregon to F. Harold and Leona Bingaman on August, 28, 1921. She graduated from Imbler High School, then attended Eastern Oregon College of Education in LaGrande, Oregon. On November 8, 1941 in Weiser, Idaho she married the love of her life John Richard (Dick) Adams of Elgin, Oregon. Together they raised two sons; Art, born in December, 1942 and Bob, born February 1948.
Early years of marriage and family were spent in Tacoma, Washington where husband Dick worked at Puget Sound Plywood as bookkeeper and manager.
In 1954 the family moved from Tacoma, Washington to Sutherlin, Oregon, where her husband Dick owned and operated Nordic Plywood and later Nordic Veneer. Husband Dick passed away in April, 1971.
In July, 1973 Maxine married George Nock They lived in Salem, Oregon until his death after which Maxine moved to Linus Oaks, Roseburg, Oregon in 1996.
Maxine was beautiful both inside and out. Her career was as a wife, mother, homemaker, friend and neighbor. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed conversation around a great meal. Maxine's roots always seemed to be where she grew up in Eastern Oregon, and always tried to stay close to her family there. In many ways the farm never left her. As a depression kid, the farm crops were a big part of life and survival. She was a champion at staying connected to family and friends by way of the telephone.
