In Loving Memory of Lois Virginia Norris

A Life of Resilience, Love, and Devotion

Lois Virginia Norris, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. Born in Elwood, Indiana on July 1, 1938, Ginny was the beloved daughter of Theodore “Teddy” Marshall and Nora Elsie Marshall.

In 1953, Ginny married Delton “Dean” Linderman, with whom she shared four children: Michael, Lindie, Teresa, and Sheila. Their paths eventually diverged, and Ginny found love again with Don Fitzpatrick, whom she married on May 7, 1975. Sadly, their daughter Katherine passed soon after birth. Ginny and Don lived a very full and loving life together until his passing in 1991.

Ginny’s journey continued when she met Charlie Norris, and they were married on March 16, 1992. Together, they explored the diverse climates of Oregon, making cherished memories across the state. After Charlie's passing, Ginny settled in Sutherlin, where she met Don Whitlock at church. Ginny and Don enjoyed a brief but joyful marriage of only four months before her passing.

Ginny is preceded in death by her husband Don Fitzpatrick, husband Charlie Norris, daughters Teresa, Sheila, and Katherine, and son-in-law Craig.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her husband Don Whitlock, son Mike (Wanda), daughter Lindie, daughter Pat, as well as many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Ginny will also be dearly missed by her two furry companions, Phoebe and Patty, and so many loving friends that have become her family.

Ginny's life was a tapestry of resilience, love, and devotion, touching the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will forever be etched in the lives of her family and friends.

A service to celebrate Ginny will be held at 11 a.m. on May 16, 2025, at the Sutherlin Seventh Day Adventist church, with a reception and graveside service to follow.
