Joyce R Abdill

Joyce was born a redheaded and vocal baby in Chicago Heights, Ill. Joyce was the fifth child of George and Anna Rinkenberger Ruff.

She grew up in Lansing, Ill. Where she attended school until her family moved to Eugene, Oregon.

Joyce loved baseball and could hit a ball a country mile.

In Eugene, where Joyce attended high school, she worked in a business program which included working in a large bookstore. Joyce loved books and became a publisher's representative for the entire northwest U. S.

On her sales trips she reconnected with George Abdill. They were married and Joyce made Roseburg her home.

Joyce was a very talented artist and prolific painter. She spent weeks painting in the California Wine Country and as she traveled throughout her life.

Joyce is survived and loved by three siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.
