GARY WALLACE HOWINGTON 81, of Roseburg, Oregon went to be with Jesus on July 15, 2026. He was born November 5, 1944 to Harmon and Wilma Howington. Gary graduated from Delano Joint Union High School, class of 1962, in Delano, California. For many years Gary has lived in Roseburg and worked for local Businesses including Nordic Veneer as a truck driver, and a warehouseman for Sears. He also worked at the Salvation Army, Gerretsen's Building Supply and Boyer Meats. Gary was a Deacon at Bethany Bible Fellowship. Survivors include by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Howington; sons Eric Howington (Cheryl) and Heath Howington (Karen) all of Roseburg; grandchildren Alyssa Jarvis (Dylan), Trena Sheirls (Larry), and Mariah Hilburn (Patrick) all of Roseburg, Michael Lay (Elizabeth), and Barbara Laugen (Bill) of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also survived by great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Harmon and Wilma Howington; 2 brothers Billy and Roger Howington and grandparents Berlin and Flora Scribner. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 am at Bethany Bible Fellowship, 1129 NE Stephens Street in Roseburg. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements.
