Evelyn Faas

Longtime Roseburg resident, Evelyn (Thormalen) Faas, was born in Moxee, Washington on April 22nd, 1930, and passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 28th, 2026, at the age of 96.

Proceeded in her death was her husband of 51 years Robert Lee Faas, Great Grandson Nicholas Faas, and son Robert Frank Faas.

She was the second youngest of 10 children in her family, that all proceeded her in death with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children: Evelyn Kay Shoonhoven and husband Richard, James Faas, Teri Tinker and husband Vern, Jack Faas and wife Dolores, Michael Faas and wife Suzy, Toby Faas, Daniel Faas and wife Cindy. She had 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren for a total of 75 grandchildren.

Evelyn enjoyed her family and church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her. She will be missed by all. Our world's loss is heavens gain.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, June 12th, 2026, at 11:00am at Wilsons Chapel of The Roses, 965 W Harvard Ave, Roseburg, Or. Gravesite at 1:00pm at Roseburg Memorial Gardens, Roseburg, Or, with a reception at 1485 Darley Dr. Roseburg, Or at 2:00pm.
