Douglas Eugene Mayne
Age 95, of Oakland, Oregon, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013, at his home. He sleeps awaiting the great and glorious resurrection at the coming of his Lord. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 12, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Sutherlin, Seventh-day Adventist church. Additionally there will be military honors and the burial at Roseburg National Cemetery Monday, May 13, 2013, 11 a.m. sharp. Any person may send memories and or condolences to the family at maintool@gmail.com . Douglas is survived by his wife, Barbara of 60 years; and his three sons: Greg; Ira (Brenda); and Parry; two grandsons, Brenton; and Seth (Emily); and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn.
Douglas spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy and worked for the U.S. Air force for 17 years. In his retirement he enjoyed reading his Bible, spending time with family helping others and speaking to any and all about his God the creator.
