Anna Louise Giese, age 101, of Roseburg, Oregon, died on December 7, 2016 in Roseburg.
Anna was born May 12, 1915 to Otto and Ida Wobig Lohse in the rural home near Watertown, Wisconsin. The family lived in Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota during her growing up years.
She married Floyd F Giese in McIntosh, South Dakota, on July 8,1938. Floyd moved his family to California in 1941, and in 1964, he and Anna purchased a farm northeast of Myrtle Creek, Oregon and moved there in 1965.
Anna loved her role of being a full-time homemaker. Other pleasures were personal Bible study, music, gardening, and walking.
Anna moved to Roseburg, Oregon, in 1995, and became a member of First Conservative Baptist Church. In 2008, she decided it was time to give up taking care of a home of her own, and she moved to Linus Oakes Retirement Village in Roseburg, Oregon.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Her survivors include two sons, Roger of Chino,California, and Donald (and wife Terry) of Bowie, Maryland, and a sister Helen Tomlinson, of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
