Christa E. Hansen

Christa E. (Koenig) Hansen, age 73 passed away on Monday April 18th, 2011, at her home. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on July 25th, 1937 to Erich and Agnes (Bartels) Koenig. Christa traveled and worked her way through Europe and Australia at a young age, eventually coming to New York in her early 20's. She then made her away to Roseburg, Oregon, where she has been a long time resident of Douglas County. Christa bought her first house in Tenmile, Oregon, where she lived for 37 years. Christa loved her home and raising animals, especially her dogs. Her greatest joys in life, were her children and grandchildren. One of Christa's many accomplishments and proudests moments was attaining her U.S. citizenship in 1983. She is survived by her children; Jackie Timmerman and her husband Robert, Heidi Pynch and her husband Jamey, David Stine, Marcel Koenig, grandchildren; Trent and Jamison Pynch, Daniel Koenig, brother; Rolf Koenig, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. There will be a Memorial celebrating Christa's life at 1:00PM on Saturday April 30th, 2011 at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses, in Roseburg, Oregon. A reception and gathering for family and friends will follow at the Pynch Ranch, 17758 Dixonville Road, Roseburg, Oregon.
